Seven Quakers earned all-conference honors in those six seasons. During his time as Guilford’s recruiting coordinator, Kimbrough brought in two players who earned ODAC Rookie of the Year honors. He also helped develop 2015 ODAC Player of the Year and All-American Matt McCarthy.

In basketball, he started in a program-record 108 games during four seasons and ended his career as the Quakers’ third all-time leader in steals (130) and fourth all-time leader in assists (358). During his final two seasons, Guilford was 48-10, won one ODAC title and made two appearances in the NCAA Tournament.

Before beginning his coaching career, Kimbrough spent one season playing against the Harlem Globetrotters as a member of the Washington Generals.
