Huntingdon men's tennis closes season with win at LaGrange
LaGRANGE, Ga. – The Huntingdon men's tennis team beat LaGrange 8-1 on Wednesday to close the 2013 season with a 13-5 record.
The Hawks swept all three doubles matches and won five singles matches in straight sets. Tyler Creamer (No. 3) and Tyler Chaffee (No. 5) won their singles matches 6-0, 6-0. Bobby Foroughian (No. 1), Zac Baldwin (No. 2) and Larry Pritchett (No. 4) won Huntingdon's other three singles matches.
The teams of Foroughian-Baldwin (No. 1), Creamer-Pritchett (No. 2) and Trey Pirtle-Chaffee (No. 3) earned the Hawks' doubles wins.
For Pritchett, the Hawks' lone senior, it was a good way to end his Huntingdon career.
"Tennis has been a big part of my life for a long time," Pritchett said. "It meant a lot to win my final singles and doubles matches at home last weekend and it means a lot to win these two. I'm glad I have a good memory to end on."
