  • Huntingdon sweeps Mississippi University for Women

    MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon softball team won both games of a doubleheader with the Mississippi University for Women on Wednesday. The Lady Hawks won the first game 4-1 and completed the sweep with a 1-0 win in Game 2.

    MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – The Huntingdon softball team lost both games of a doubleheader at Berry College on Sunday. The Lady Hawks lost the first game 11-1 in five innings before losing the second game 6-5.

    WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Huntingdon softball team swept Salem College 2-1 and 12-4 on Saturday. With Saturday’s wins, Huntingdon has won five straight and seven of its last eight games.

    MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon softball team swept a non-conference doubleheader against Fontbonne on Saturday. The Lady Hawks won the first game 5-3 and capped the day with a 4-3 victory.           
  • Lady Hawks take Game 2 of doubleheader with William Peace

    MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon softball team lost Game 1 but bounced back with a 10-run win in Game 2 in a doubleheader with William Peace on Saturday. After falling 6-2 in the first game, Huntingdon won the second game 12-2 in five innings.
  • Hitt and Hunt earn USA South Athlete of the Week honors

    FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Two Huntingdon student-athletes were named Athletes of the Week by the USA South Athletic Conference on Monday.  Sam Hitt was named Defensive Player of the Week for men’s lacrosse and Madison Hunt was named Pitcher of the Week for softball. This is the second straight week the two have earned the honors.
  • Huntingdon sweeps Dallas and Mount St. Joseph

    MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon softball team closed out the weekend with a sweep of the University of Dallas and Mount St. Joseph on Sunday. The Lady Hawks beat Dallas 8-5 and knocked off Mount St. Joseph 3-1.

    MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon softball team beat the University of Dallas and came up short against Mount St. Joseph on Saturday. The Lady Hawks beat Dallas 6-0 and fell to the Lions 5-2.
  • Four Hawks recognized as USA South Athletes of the Week

    FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Four Huntingdon Hawks were recognized by the USA South Athletic Conference on Monday with the release of the conference’s Athletes of the Week awards. Brooks Freeman was named Pitcher of the Week for baseball, Madison Hunt was chosen as Pitcher of the Week for softball, Sam Hitt was recognized as Defensive Player of the Week for men’s lacrosse and Josie Waddell was selected as Player of the Week for women’s tennis.

    JACKSON, Miss. – The Huntingdon softball team took two games from Millsaps on Saturday. The Lady Hawks won the first game 5-2 and won the second game 3-2.

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Huntingdon softball team lost its first game on Sunday but closed the weekend with a shutout victory. After falling to the University of the Ozarks 7-6, Huntingdon bounced back with a 3-0 win over Rhodes.
  • Lady Hawks split to open season

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Huntingdon softball team split with the University of Ozarks and Rhodes College to open the season on Saturday.                    Huntingdon beat Ozarks 9-7 before falling to Rhodes 5-0.
  • Lady Hawks ranked fourth in USA South West Division preseason poll

    FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Huntingdon softball team is ranked fourth in the USA South Athletic Conference West Division poll. The conference preseason poll was released on Wednesday. Huntingdon totaled 45 points in the poll. Maryville, the 2018 conference tournament champion, is the preseason favorite with eight first-place votes and 64 points.
  • Softball team enjoys experience in Puerto Rico

    MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon softball team kicked off 2019 with a trip to Puerto Rico earlier this month. The Lady Hawks left on Jan. 9 and returned on Jan. 13. In between, the team played four games at Donna Terry Stadium in San Juan and also enjoyed experiencing the sights and culture of Puerto Rico.
