MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's basketball team pulled away late and beat Agnes Scott 63-48 on Tuesday night.
The Lady Hawks led for almost the entire game, but could not put the Scotties away. Leading 35-33 with 5:08 left in the third quarter, Huntingdon began to take control. The Lady Hawks held Agnes Scott to 15 points in the final 15 minutes of the game.
Using a 28-11 run, Huntingdon built a 19-point lead, 63-44, late in the fourth quarter.
Two Huntingdon players recorded double-doubles and four Lady Hawks combined for 56 of Huntingdon's 63 points.
Senior Juliette Harp turned in her 15th straight double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Harp leads Division III with 22 double-doubles this season.
Junior Alex Lowery hit four 3-pointers and finished with 19 points and four rebounds. Junior T.I. Duncan picked up her second double-double of the season with 10 points and 11 rebounds and junior Abiba Bernard added eight points.
