Huntingdon women’s tennis downs Berry

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's tennis team won five hard-fought matches in singles to knock off Berry College 8-1 on Saturday.

Huntingdon's Taylor Clark won 6-3, 7-5 at No. 2 singles. Every other singles match went to tiebreakers or three sets.

Britni Thibodeau won 2-6, 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3 singles, Hannah Still won 6-1, 6-7(10-8), 6-4 at No. 4 singles, Micaela White won 7-6(7-2), 7-5 at No. 5 singles and Farrah Mahan won 7-6(7-3), 6-3 at No. 6 singles.

In doubles, Huntingdon (7-1) picked up wins from the teams of Thibodeau-Still (No. 1), Katie Scott-White (No. 2), and Rory Wilson-Clark (No. 3).

Huntingdon hosts Spelman and the University of Mobile on Tuesday.
