Lady Hawks clinch regular-season GSAC tennis title

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Huntingdon women's tennis team closed out conference play with a pair of wins over Salem College on Sunday. The Lady Hawks won both matches 9-0 and pushed their winning streak to 12 matches.

Huntingdon (17-1) claimed the Great South Athletic Conference regular-season title with a 10-0 conference record.

Taylor Clark, Farrah Mahan and Deidre Corbin each won two singles matches and two doubles matches on Sunday. In the first match, Clark (No. 1), Britni Thibodeau (No. 2), Hannah Still (No. 3), Micaela White (No. 4), Mahan (No. 5) and Corbin (No. 6) were the singles winners. The teams of Katie Scott-White (No. 1), Clark-Rory Wilson (No. 2) and Mahan-Corbin (No. 3) won in doubles.

In the second match, Clark (No. 1), Still (No. 2), Scott (No. 3), Mahan (No. 4), Corbin (No. 5) and Wilson (No. 6) won in singles. The teams of Still-Thibodeau (No. 1), Clark-Mahan (No. 2) and Corbin-Arielle Barraca (No. 3) won in doubles.

Huntingdon returns to action on Saturday at Montevallo.
