Kate Hudson Named USA South Defensive Player Of The Week And Alabama Power Huntingdon Student Athlete Of The Week
MONTGOMERY, Ala.- After turning in one of the more impressive performances of her collegiate career this past Saturday in Huntingdon's 21-1 win over NC Wesleyan, senior Kate Hudson has been recognized both as the USA South Defensive Player of the Week and as the Alabama Power Huntingdon Student Athlete of the Week.
The senior midfielder from Navarre, Florida totaled 11 ground balls, ten draw controls, and eight caused turnovers to go along with five goals scored and one assist in the team's lone contest last week, sparking the Hawks runaway victory over their USA South Athletic Conference opponent.
Earlier this season, Hudson surpassed the career milestone of 100 career points, while also claiming over 100 ground balls and draw controls, further highlighting her impact all over the field for the Hawks throughout her collegiate career.
