Bio
Kevin Daughtrey joined the Huntingdon staff in 2016 and enters his first season as the running backs and H-backs coach.
Before Huntingdon, Daughtrey spent the 2013 season as the linebackers coach and Director of Strength and Conditioning at Averett University. He also served as the faculty representative for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and was responsible for recruiting the Virginia Beach area and the states of Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee.
Before Averett, Daughtrey was the quarterbacks and receivers coach and special teams coordinator at Milford Academy in New York. Six players on the 2012 team signed to play at the Division I level.
Daughtrey began his collegiate coaching career as a strength and conditioning coach at the University of Alabama from 2007-10. Under the tutelage of Head Strength and Conditioning Coach Scott Cochran, Daughtrey worked with specialists, running backs and mid-skills players. During the 2009 national championship season, the strength and conditioning program was involved in the development of the Crimson Tide's first Heisman Trophy winner, Mark Ingram.
During his time in Tuscaloosa, Daughtrey also taught as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the College of Education.
At the high school level, Daughtrey has coached at several schools in the state of Alabama, including Tuscaloosa County, Gordo and Paul W. Bryant.
A native of Chattanooga, Tenn., Daughtrey earned his B.S. in Education from the University of Alabama and is currently working toward his Master's in Education. He is a member of Church of the Highlands in Tuscaloosa and Sons of Thunder Men's Ministry.
