Hawks Fall To Mobile On The Road

MOBILE, Ala.- Returning to action for the first time since their first home tournament of the season, Huntingdon beach volleyball hit the road for a midweek showdown with the NAIA University of Mobile Rams.

The Hawks fought hard throughout each match, but were swept 5-0 by the Rams. See below for the comprehensive results.

  1. Veronica Tikhomirova and Ariel Helmick were defeated by Layton and Aspen Adams in three sets, losing the first 21-17, rebounding to collect a 21-19 set two victory, but fell in the third set 15-9
  2. Ashlen Janowski and Izzy Valldeperas were defeated by Lexi Gillette and Dazsha Dean 21-16 and 21-18
  3. Jenna Dupee and Eva Ellenburg were defeated by Emma Hampton and Gabby Sheffield 22-20 and 21-8
  4. Carryne Chancey and Morgan Suggs were defeated by Emily Osborne and Emma Todd 21-7 and 21-17
  5. Lily VanDyke and Lydia Hitchcock were defeated by Rachel Dunnaway and Jaci Brinnon 21-9 and 21-6

The Hawks look to bounce back on February 28th against William Carey and Loyola at the Badger Beach Bash in Gulf Shores. Matches are set for 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM CT.
