Hawks Pick Up Three Wins Against Southern Virginia And Wesleyan
MONTGOMERY, Ala.- Hosting their second "Beach Bash" of the season, Huntingdon Beach Volleyball moved to an even 8-8 on the season with three wins today, defeating Southern Virginia 3-2 in their first match before sweeping Wesleyan 5-0. The Hawks closed the day with another 3-2 win over the Knights.

Match 1: HC-3, SVU-2
- Veronica Tikhomirova and Ariel Helmick were defeated by Kami Milius and Claire Grasteit 21-17 and 21-19
- Ashlen Janowski and Izzy Valldeperas defeated Callie Tuckfield and Baylee Savage in three sets, dropping the first 21-17 before winning the next two 21-13 and 15-9
- Eva Ellenburg and Jessi Hilyer defeated Mikki Prows and Emily Peterson 21-18 and 21-16
- Morgan Suggs and Carryne Chancey were defeated by Brynn Keeling and Charity Elam in three sets, claiming the first 21-16 before dropping the next two 21-17 and 15-8
- Lily VanDyke and Lydia Hitchcock defeated Gabi Green and London Skea 21-19 and 21-7

- Veronica Tikhomirova and Ariel Helmick defeated Mayah Misi and Zayshore Hughes 21-9 and 21-12
- Ashlen Janowski and Izzy Valldeperas defeated Pippa Tilley and Breya Cobb 21-8 and 21-2
- Eva Ellenburg and Jessi Hilyer defeated Janiya Simmons and Sadiya Kuyateh 21-4 and 21-9
- Luci Hoffman and Hannah Rutherford defeated D Flor and Briscia Tejada 21-2 in each set
- Gracie Wallace and Jenna Dupee defeated Step Cogan and Alana Woods 21-6 and 21-2

- Eva Ellenburg and Jessi Hilyer were defeated by Emily Peterson and Mikki Prows in three sets, winning the first 21-6 before losing the next two 21-19 and 15-9
- Carryne Chancey and Morgan Suggs defeated Charity Elam and Brynn Keeling in three sets, winning the first 21-13, losing the second 21-17, but recovering to win the third 15-13
- Lydia Hitchcock and Lily VanDyke defeated Gavu Green and London Skea 21-19 and 22-20
The Hawks bring their second home tournament to a close tomorrow, March 15th, against Southern Virginia for Senior Day. Matches are set to begin at 8:00 AM CT.
