Beach Volleyball Falls To Lynchburg And Mary-Hardin Baylor On Day One Of The AVCA Championships
GULF SHORES, Ala.- Opening up the 2026 AVCA DIII Beach Volleyball Championships today as the #5 seed in the nation, Huntingdon Beach Volleyball fell in each of their two matches today, dropping the first 3-1 to Lynchburg before suffering a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Mary Hardin- Baylor. Match one v. Lynchburg
- Morgan Suggs and Kinsley Martin were defeated by Kailey Keough and Amanda Trapp 21-17 and 21-13
- Destin Roberts and Molly Wilson's match against Mady Shirey and SJ Yanz was not played
- Cheyenne Ashworth and Carryne Chancey were defeated by Parker Lynch and Alexis Scipione 21-11 and 21-12
- Jessie Eunice and Brielle Smith defeated Lydia Nelson and Noelle Slye 21-16 and 21-13
- Jenna Dupee and Mileah Prince were defeated by Jamie Smith and Virginia Zalinski 21-19 and 21-7
Match two v. Mary Hardin-Baylor
- Morgan Suggs and Kinsley Martin were defeated by Shelbee Adkins and Julianna Green 21-11 and 21-8
- Destin Roberts and Molly Wilson were defeated by Faith Clark and Jacie Perkins 21-15 and 21-7
- Cheyenne Ashworth and Carryne Chancey's match against Saige Gizelle de la Fuente and Kendall Harrington was not played
- Jessie Eunice and Brielle Smith were defeated by Heidi Farrar and Tasha Thoms 21-11 and 21-12
- Jenna Dupee and Mileah Prince's match against Natalie Hughes and Ashley Salas was not played
The Hawks return to action at the AVCA Championships tomorrow in the consolation bracket against Howard Payne and LaGrange. Matches are set for 9:05 AM and 1:25 PM CT.
