Colin Murphy Awarded CCS Pitcher Of The Week

ATLANTA, Ga.- Securing his first weekly conference award of both the season and his young career, Huntingdon Baseball's Colin Murphy has been recognized as the CCS Pitcher of the Week. 

Murphy, a freshman from Spanish Fort, Alabama, delivered a dominant outing in his lone appearance of the week, leading Huntingdon to a 7–3 victory over Alma. Murphy worked seven strong innings, striking out nine while allowing just five hits and one walk. His command on the mound limited opposing hitters to a .192 batting average. His control on the mound played a crucial role in the Hawks tournament sweep on the weekend. 

Murphy will look to continue rolling as Huntingdon hosts Oglethorpe tomorrow, March 10th. Gametime is set for 3:00 PM CT.
