Rocket League B Claims NECC Central-East Championships
MONTGOMERY, Ala.- In the NECC Central-East the #4 Seed Hawks (6-1 Regular Season) got their revenge in the Championship match versus #2 Seed, Nicholls State University (7-0 Regular Season). The Hawks swiftly defeated the Colonels (4-1) in a best-of-seven series.
After this win, your Hawks get an auto-qualification into the Nationals tournament, set to compete against the other proven "best" teams in the Central-East Division VII bracket. The format will be a 16 team pool, single elimination.
Esports Director, Ryan Doyle, had this to say about the team:
"Since the decision to play around with the starting lineups, it was evident at the beginning that the team chemistry between Adrel Carias (So.), Wyn Hurley (So.), and Riley Stephens (So.) would allow them to play off each other easier and more efficiently. I am proud of the way these gentlemen held each other accountable throughout the season, and in-game to be the champions you see here today. Three Championship Trophies in just under two years of launching as a varsity program just shows the cultures and expectations they place upon themselves."
In a little over a week, the Rocket League B Team will be starting competition in the Nationals Tournament against TBD at 7PM CT.
