MONTGOMERY,Ala.- In their final regular season game, Huntingdon Hawks football(5-5 overall, 5-3 USA South) defeated the Pride of Greensboro College(1-9 overall, 1-7 USA South), 38-7.
Prior to kickoff, Huntingdon recognized their 26 seniors for their commitments to the program both on and off the field throughout their careers. This year's senior class is as follows:

Deferring until the second half, the Hawks opened the game on defensive. After an interception by Gus Johnson was called back for a penalty, the defense rallied to force a three and out. Huntingdon's offense responded accordingly, as James Cheatham found the endzone on the tail end of a 9 play, 72-yard drive with a 18-yard touchdown rush.
The Pride answered quickly, capitalizing on a 33-yard chunk play with a short passing touchdown to knot things at 7 by the 4:46 mark in the quarter. Dorian Smith then took the reigns and led Huntingdon's offense down the field on a 12 play, 55-yard drive that ended with a Will Edwards field goal to put the Hawks back in front just inside the first minute of the second quarter.
After forcing another three-and-out, Troy Garner found hit paydirt from nine-yards out to put the Hawks ahead 17-7 with 11 minutes remaining until halftime. The final points of the half came with 56 seconds remaining, as Troy Garner found the endzone for the second time to put Huntingdon ahead 24-7 entering the break.
To open the second half, the Hawks embarked on their longest drive of the season, going 76-yards on 14 plays and cashing in on a rushing touchdown from James Cheatham to go ahead 31-7 with six minutes remaining in the quarter. As the end of the game drew near, Huntingdon's defense continued to swarm the field, only allowing one second half first-down. Troy Garner's third touchdown of the day closed out Huntingdon's season with a 38-7 conference victory.
