DIII Week Student Athlete Spotlight: Braylon Miller
MONTGOMERY, Ala.- In honor of national DIII week, we will be spotlighting different Huntingdon student-athletes for their achievements and dedication to the program and the college, both on and off the field. Our first spotlight belongs to Braylon Miller, a starting linebacker on the Hawks Football team.
Miller, native to Slocumb, Alabama, is set to graduate at the end of the next academic year. What drew him to Division III, and more specifically Huntingdon, is "how welcoming everyone was", Miller explained. "It had a small-town feel that made it feel like home."
Since arriving on campus, Braylon has wasted no time integrating himself into both the football program and campus life, being selected to represent the college as an ambassador in the upcoming year. Majoring in Physical Education, he plans to enter a teaching and coaching career upon the completion of his Huntingdon degree.
On the field, Miller has been stellar for the Hawks in each of his two seasons as a starter, bringing home second team all-conference honors in the USA South this past season. For his career, Miller has played in 21 games, recording 119 total tackles to go along with 3.5 sacks, 1 int, and 1 pass breakup. His consistent leadership and constant presence helped anchor a Huntingdon defense that finished inside the top 4 in both passing and rush defense in the USA South through the 2025 season.
Of all the memories he's created in his time wearing the Scarlet and Grey, Braylon's favorite memory comes from this past season, where the Hawks knocked off McMurry with an 80-yard pick six on the final play for their first win of the campaign.
With Huntingdon Football recently releasing their 2026 season slate, Miller and the Hawks will be taking to Charles Lee Field at Samford Stadium on September 5th for their season-opener against Berry College.
