Flag Football Drops Road Contest At Reinhardt

WALESKA, Ga.- Looking to avenge their losses to Campbellsville and Milligan from last week, Huntingdon Flag Football returned to action on the road at Reinhardt for a contest with the Eagles.

Despite putting up 186 yards of total offense, the Hawks couldn't find their way onto the scoreboard, resulting in a 41-0 loss.

After falling behind 7-0 midway through the first quarter, the Hawks punted on their first possession. An Azariah Greer interception on the ensuing drive flipped the momentum back to Huntingdon, but the Eagles jumped Mary Wade Latham's pass, returning it for six to raise their lead to 13-0 at the end of the first quarter.

Through the rest of the game, Reinhardt held control on both ends of the field. Huntingdon pieced together multiple promising drives, but couldn't convert them into points, falling to their NAIA opposition.

The Hawks look to bounce back on March 29th at Life University, facing off with the Running Eagles and Florida Gulf Coast University in a tri-match. Games are scheduled for 3:30 PM and 5:00 PM CT.
