Burr, Baker, Coker, and Humphrey Selected To PING Division III Region IV All-Region Team
MONTGOMERY,Ala.- NCAA Division III PING All-Region honorees have been announced by the GCAA. Players across seven regions earned all-region honors in 2024.
Representing the Hawks and earning all-region honors, Jack Burr, Stephen Baker, Zackery Coker, and Cole Humphrey each had a phenomenal season, all earning an individual tournament victory. All four golfers finished the season ranked inside the top 50 among Division III.
Leading the Hawks all season long, Jack Burr finished as the 12th ranked golfer in Division III. With a scoring average of 71, Burr claimed two victories and three top-three finishes on the year. He was named the CCS Golfer of the Year, a first team all-conference selection, and an DIII All-American for his performances throughout the year.
This season, Stephen Baker finished as the 48th ranked golfer in the country. He placed inside the top three at three seperate tournaments, boasting a scoring average of 72.3. Baker took first place and captured the individual title at the Collegiate Conference of the South championship tournament on May 1st, while being named to the CCS first team all-conference.
Finishing just ahead of Baker in the national rankings at #41 was Zackery Coker. Throughout the season, Coker maintained a scoring average of 73.2, capturing a first place finish at the Savannah Invitational. Following the CCS championship tournament, Coker was named to the CCS first team all-conference.
As a true freshman, Cole Humphrey is the youngest of the Huntingdon golfers to be recognized. Just finishing behind Zackery Coker's scoring average with a 73.7, Cole earned a share of the individual title at the Tiger Invitational hosted by Hampden-Sydney College. He was named to the CCS second team all-conference in recognition of his excellent performances all season.
