Hawks Tied For Fifth With Nine Holes Remaining
PENFIELD, New York- Continuing to battle through the rainy and windy New York conditions at the NCAA Championships, Huntingdon Men's Golf currently finds themselves in a tie with Carnegie Mellon for fifth place overall entering the final day.
With tomorrow's forecast predicting inclement weather, not only did the field start and finish round three today, they also got midway through the fourth and final round before the sun set for the evening. At the completion of the third round, the Hawks fell from second place to fifth, matching their round one score of a nine over-par 297. Stephen Baker continued his exemplary place, leading the Hawks with a two-under par 70 for the round to maintain his position inside of the top 10.
Midway through the final round of competition, the Hawks currently hold a cumulative team score of 192. Stephen Baker and Jack Burr both are leading the push, with Cole Humphrey following closely behind. See below for Huntingdon's full round three results and where they stand in round four.
