Schreyer Named NCAA DIII Golf Pride Grips Region IV Coach Of The Year

NORMAN, Okla.- In partnership with Golf Pride Grips, the GCAA has announced the winners of the 2026 Dave Williams National Coach of the Year along with the Region and District Coaches of the Year. 

This season, after leading the Hawks to a #1 ranking in both the coaches and CLIPPD polls, Huntingdon's Dave Schreyer has been recognized as the 2026 NCAA Division III Region IV Coach of the Year. 

Huntingdon collected 5 tournament victories this season while finishing inside the top three 9 times. The Hawks held the #1 ranking in the nation, both in the CLIPPD rankings, and the GCAA Coaches Poll, from October 31st, 2025, all the way through the Spring season. 5 Hawks received both All-CCS and All-Region honors, with senior Jack Burr receiving a first team all-american selection while being named a finalist for the 2026 DIII Jack Nicklaus Award. Schreyer was also recognized as the 2026 Collegiate Conference of the South Coach of the Year and guided the Hawks to a 10th place finish at the National Championship.
