The Hawks, featuring 13 returners, four of which were starters, are looking to bounce back from their first round exit in the conference tournament last season. The offense is anchored by sophomore standout Gage Kettlewell. The Ohio native scored 51 goals last season and tallied on 10 assists to go with that, leading the Hawks in points scored for the season. With 9 newcomers taking the field for the first time with the Hawks, the senior leadership of players like Jack Young, Anthony Morales, Brady Moulton, and Reece Roberts will be pivotal for the Hawks in searching for their first conference championship appearance since 2018.
Coach Carey on the upcoming season:
"The 2024 Hawks Men's Lacrosse Team is looking forward to competing within a competitive non conference and conference schedule. We have an extremely young team this year with high hopes of growing through the season and making a return to the conference tournament. We will focus this season on team building and better understanding the importance of playing high end TEAM lacrosse. Our "get better every day" motto will be on full demonstration as we look to reestablish ourselves as a competitive force in the USA South Conference. I am very excited to get into the season and see these young guys grow up quickly. Expect high excitement and energy when you attend any Hawks Lacrosse games!"
The Hawks take the field for the first time this season on February 7th at home against Oglethorpe. Gametime is scheduled for 6:00 PM CT.
