  • 139 Hawks earn USA South Academic All-Conference honors

    FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – More than 130 Huntingdon College student-athletes were recognized with the release of the USA South Academic All-Conference team on Monday. A total of 139 Hawks, representing each of Huntingdon's 18 athletic programs, were among the 1,446 USA South student-athletes named to the team.

Trey Hayes was named the Defensive Player of the Week for football, Amy Tyma was named the Rookie of the Week for volleyball and Kebba Jeng was named the Rookie of the Week for men’s soccer.

    MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon men’s soccer team opened the season with a 1-1 tie in double overtime on Friday night against the Mississippi University for Women. Freshman Hunter Hall scored on an assist from junior Mac Puller to give the Hawks a 1-0 lead in the first half. MUW answered in the 66th minute to tie the game.

    MONTGOMERY, Ala.  – The Huntingdon men’s soccer team opens the season under the lights at Samford Stadium on Friday. The Hawks host the Mississippi University for Women at 6 p.m. The game will be the first men’s soccer game in MUW’s history.

    FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The USA South Athletic Conference released its men's and women's preseason soccer polls on Wednesday. The Huntingdon men are tied for fourth in the West Division and the Huntingdon women are fifth in the West Division of their poll.
