JACKSON, Miss.- Hitting the road following their 0-0 home draw with Asbury University, Huntingdon Men's Soccer fell to 1-5-3(0-1-1 CCS) with a 2-0 loss at the hands of the defending Collegiate Conference of the South Champions, the Belhaven Blazers.
How it happened
Putting up one goal in each half, Belhaven dictated the pace of play throughout the contest. Through the first 20 minutes, the Blazers fired off six shots before Huntingdon could get an attempt of their own, cashing in at the 19:34 mark to take a 1-0 lead. The Hawks tried to answer, as Tate Reynolds got a good look at the goal shortly after, but that proved to Huntingdon's lone attempt of the half, taking the 1-0 deficit into halftime. The second half saw more of the same, as Belhaven recorded 13 shots to the Hawks 3, cashing in on one, to take a 2-0 lead at the 53:51 mark that turned into a 2-0 victory.
