Garcia And Young Headline Weekly CCS Men's Tennis Awards

ATLANTA, Ga.- The Collegiate Conference of the South has released their first set of weekly tennis awards for the 2025 season.

Freshman Tyler Garcia was named the conference's Rookie of the week, with senior Lane Young joining him also as the doubles team of the week.

Garcia made an immediate impact for Huntingdon, going 2-0 in the Hawks' loss to Brevard. He partnered with Young at No. 1 doubles for a 6-3 victory before claiming a dominant 6-2 win at No. 2 singles. Garcia also picked up a default doubles win against MUW, contributing to a strong opening week.

The duo of Young and Garcia helped lead the Hawks in their season opener, securing a 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles against Brevard.

Garcia, Young and the Hawks return to action on February 22nd at Oglethorpe. Matches are set to begin at 12:00 PM CT.
