Hawks Roll Past LaGrange In Non-Conference Match

MONTGOMERY, Ala.- Returning to action following a string of scrimmage matches, Huntingdon Men's Tennis squared off with LaGrange College this afternoon, rolling past the Panthers 6-1 in a non-conference match. See below for the comprehensive results of today's match. 

Doubles

  1. Clay Philley and Tyler Garcia defeated James Willingham and Caleb Taff 6-1
  2.  William Massey and Lincoln Young defeated Yoni Falla and Jesse Griffin 6-3
  3. Zach Cox and Sage Speer defeated Kyle Moore and Nic Bodin 6-3

Singles

  1. Tyler Garcia defeated Yoni Falla 6-1 and 6-3
  2. William Massey defeated Caleb Taff 6-4 and 7-1(retired)
  3. Lincoln Young was defeated by James Willingham, losing the first set 6-4 before winning the second 6-0. He fell in the tiebreaker
  4. Zach Cox defeated Kyle Moore 6-1 and 5-0(retired)
  5. Sage Speer defeated Nic Bodin 6-3 and 6-1
  6. Clay Philley defeated Jesse Griffin 6-2 in each set

The Hawks will look to carry their momentum into a match tomorrow, February 28th, at MUW. Play is set to begin at 11:00 AM CT.
