Track And Field Keeps Rolling At The KMS Invite
BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- Returning to the Crossplex following their 2026 debut at the Vulcan Invite a week ago, Huntingdon Track and Field continued to impress today at the KMS Invitational.
It was all about the newcomers for the men today, as essentially all top performances for the Hawks came by way of new additions of the team. Jackson Rinehart's 8th place finish and finals qualification in the men's long jump with a mark of 6.31 meters highlighted the day, with Javerious Askew's 7th place high jump outing joining him in that regard. Askew's impressive day continued in the triple jump, as he claimed fourth place reaching a mark of 13.14 meters. William Mann's 800m time of 2:07 carried the distance squad with the 4x200m relay team of Marcus Malone, Askew, Mann, and Jameson Jessup rounding things out in 8th place.
As for the women, the 4x200m relay team brought in a fourth place finish to highlight the Hawks performances on the day. The weight throwing trio of Amberly Bennett, Trinity Treadway, and Toni Taylor each shined as well with 7th, 8th, and 10th place marks respectively, with Treadway and Bennett each placing top 10 in the shot put as well. Junior Michaela Moore continued her solid year on the track with a 9th place 800m finish and a 18th place 600m finish to round out what was an all around solid day for the Hawks.
Huntingdon Track and Field will return to the Crossplex yet again on February 1st, entering the South Alabama Invite.
