Gilroy Named Week One CCS Track Athlete Of The Week

ATLANTA, Ga.- Stringing together a series of solid performances in the Hawks Outdoor Track debut at the Mississippi College Opener, Rory Gilroy has been named the first Collegiate Conference of the South Track Athlete of the Week in the new season. 

A junior from Pace, Florida, Gilroy delivered a strong showing at the Mississippi College Opener, competing in two hurdle events for Huntingdon. The junior placed second in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.90, turning in one of the top performances of the meet. Gilroy also competed in the 400-meter hurdles, finishing fourth with a time of 57.13 seconds. As it currently stands, Rory is currently third in the nation in the 110's and 6th in the 400's. 

Gilroy and the Hawks will look to keep rolling as they take on the Falcon Classic hosted by the University of Montevallo on March 13th and 14th.
