Gilroy Secures Second CCS Weekly Honor Of The Season

ATLANTA, Ga.- Building off of his stupendous season-opener at the Mississippi College Opener, Rory Gilroy's 110m hurdle victory at the Montevallo Falcon Classic made way for his second consecutive selection as the Collegiate Conference of the South Track Athlete of the Week. 

Gilroy delivered a standout performance at the Falcon Classic, competing against a field that included Division I and II opponents. The junior captured first place in the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.03 seconds and followed with a third-place finish in the 400m hurdles at 54.94 seconds. Gilroy also anchored Huntingdon's 4x400m relay team to a fifth-place finish (3:35.35). His performances this weekend place him third nationally in both hurdle events.

Rory and the Hawks will look to keep rolling on Emory Spring Break Classic beginning on March 20th.
