Cross Country Keeps Rolling At The Montevallo Falcon Classic

MONTGOMERY, Ala.- Hitting the course for the first time since their season-opener at the Foothills Classic, Huntingdon Cross Country returned to action tonight, this time under the lights at the University of Montevallo for the annual Falcon Classic. 

The women's team, only having four Hawks cross the finish line, did not qualify for a team score. Michaela Moore crossed the line first for Huntingdon, finishing the 5000m race in a time of 20:54.78. She was followed by Evie Garrett who finished in 26:25 with Adrianna Morning and Sydney Thompson rounding things out. Alabama State University brought home the team title.

The men's team, led by Hayes Brockett's time of 35:47.9 in the 8000m, finished 18th in the field , scoring 530 points. Levi Garrett crossed the line second followed by Grayson York, Dylan Horton, and Mackenzy Crawford. The Auburn University of Montgomery Warhawks secured victory on the men's side.

The Hawks return to action on Friday, September 26th as they travel to Huntsville, Alabama to compete in the Twilight at John Hunt Park.
