Allie Roberts Dubbed CCS Pitcher Of The Week

ATLANTA, Ga.- Following the #14 Hawks exemplary performance at the NFCA Leadoff Classic in Columbus, Georgia, this past weekend, the Collegiate Conference of the South has recognized Huntingdon junior pitcher Allie Roberts as the conference's pitcher of the week, as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon. 

Native to Auburn, Alabama and the reigning CCS Pitcher of the Year, Roberts was dominant in the circle as No. 14 Huntingdon posted a strong showing at the NFCA Leadoff Classic. Roberts earned five wins on the weeked, helping guide the Hawks to a 5–1 record against a competitive field that included a victory over No. 4 St. Mary's. The junior logged 18.2 innings with a 1.12 ERA, striking out 25 batters while allowing just 12 hits and holding opponents to a .179 batting average. Roberts also reached a major milestone during the tournament, surpassing the 300-strikeout mark for her career.

Allie and the Hawks will return to action on Thursday, March 12th in a double-header at #23 Berry. Games are set for 2:00 and 4:00 PM CT.
