Huntingdon falls to Piedmont

DUE TO CURRENT COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS, FANS ARE NOT PERMITTED AT HUNTINGDON BASKETBALL GAMES

 

DEMOREST, Ga. – The Huntingdon women's basketball team fell behind early and lost to Piedmont 83-65 on Friday.

The Hawks trailed from the start of the game but battled back from a 14-point deficit to pull within five points, 58-53, with 3:22 to play in the third quarter. From there, Piedmont took control. The Lions pulled ahead to a 10-point lead, 63-53, at the end of the third quarter and led by double digits for the remainder of the game.

Alina Shoemake led Huntingdon with 18 points and A.B. Davis added 13 points. Ry Whetstone finished with 10 points and a team-high six rebounds.
