DIII Week Student Spotlight- Dalyce Sanders

MONTGOMERY, Ala.- Our next feature as a part of Huntingdon's DIII week Student-Athlete Spotlights is Dalyce Sanders

Coming to Huntingdon from Prattville, Alabama, Dalyce has the unique experience of being a dual-sport athlete at Huntingdon, as she is a member of both our women's basketball and tennis teams. Majoring in Physical Education, she was drawn to the Division III classroom setting, describing it as a space where she both knows her professors, and they know her, resulting in genuine connections and rewarding academic experiences.

Her favorite memory as a DIII student-athlete lends itself to that previously mentioned emphasis on personal connections with those on campus, sharing that her favorite memory comes from this tennis season, when her basketball teammates made their way to the tennis courts to watch Dalyce win her match this past week against Covenant College. Her win proved pivotal in the Hawks 5-2 defeat of the Scots.

Sanders' dedication to not just one, but both of the sports in which she competes fully encapsulates the spirit of Division III student-athletes. The official tagline for NCAA Division III is "Discover, Develop, Dedicate", and student-athletes such as Dalyce perfectly align with that mission.
