Hawks Lead Through 18 At The USA South Championship

SPARTANBURG, SOUTH CAROLINA- Projected to finish second in the coaches preseason poll, as released by the conference, Huntingdon Women's Golf currently sits atop the leaderboards following the first round of competition at the USA South Championships.

As a team, the Hawks compiled an overall score of 296, eight strokes over par. They lead second place Piedmont University by 18 strokes and the projected conference champion, Methodist University, by 19 strokes.

Yvette Gorden currently leads all individuals in the tournament, piecing together a two-under par 70 for round 1. Briana Willis, Ava Catherine Banks, and Caroline Culbertson each follow Gorden with top-10 positions through 18 holes. See below for Huntingdon's round one scores.
