Hawks Close Out Rain-Riddled Opening Day Of The NCAA Championship In Sixth

WILLIAMSBURG, Va.- After seeing their scheduled tee time delayed for nearly five hours due to rainy conditions on the course, Huntingdon Women's Golf finally got the opportunity to kick off their first ever appearance at the NCAA Championships in program history this afternoon.

Of the 34 teams in the field, only nine managed to play a complete round of 18 holes. That being said, the Hawks currently sit in sixth place overall through 11-14 holes, shooting 14 strokes over par for a cumulative team score of 216. Grinnell currently leads the pack with a 12-over par 214 through 12-14 holes.

Yvette Gorden serves as Huntingdon's front-runner thus far, sitting in a tie for fifth place overall with a score of 50, one over par, through 12 holes. See below for the Hawks results thus far at nationals.
