Gorden Takes Second, Hawks Place Fourth At The Transylvania Kickoff Classic

LEXINGTON, Ky.- Entering the second round at the Transylvania Kickoff Classic in 6th place, #20 Huntingdon Women's Golf climbed two places on the leaderboard, placing fourth in a field of 12 teams. 

The Hawks brought the tournament with a 10-over par score of 302 for the round. Denison walked away as champions of the tournament, shooting four strokes over par in the second round to cement their 8 stroke victory over Christopher Newport University. 

Yvette Gorden continued to shine for the Hawks, tying for second place individually in a field of 67 golfers. She was joined in the top-10 by former USA South Rookie of the Year, Mary Charles Davis. See below for Huntingdon's comprehensive results from the second round.

The Hawks return to the course on September 21st at home, hosting the MCC Women's Intercollegiate at the Montgomery Country Club.
