Gorden Ties For First, Hawks Claim Second At The Chick-Fil-A Invitational
ROME, Ga.- Closing out the Chick-Fil-A Invitational with today's second round, #23 Huntingdon Women's Golf shot 14 strokes better than their round 1 performances to be named the tournament runner-up. Junior Yvette Gorden returned to her winning ways, finishing in a three way tie for first to lead the Hawks.
As a team, Huntingdon scored the second lowest round of the entire tournament today, leaving Rome 9 strokes over par for the round and 34 strokes over par overall. #19 Mary-Hardin Baylor walked away as tournament champions, defeating the Hawks by 18 strokes en route to victory. As mentioned before, Yvette Gorden had an exceptional tournament, finishing today's round with a 1 stroke over par 74, and 5 strokes over par for the tournament.
