Gorden Finishes 16th At The NCAA Championship

PALM DESERT, Cali.- With today's fourth round bringing the 2026 NCAA Women's Golf National Championship to a close, Huntingdon junior Yvette Gorden has finished 16th in the field of 81 golfers who made the cut. 

Gorden, making her second appearance at the national championship in as many seasons, closed things out today with a one-over par 73, placing her in a three-way tie for 16th. Teeing off on hole 10, she shot an even 36 before making the turn, where she ended one stroke over par.  Ending the tournament with a 293(+5), Yvette ends up 10 strokes behind the tournament champion. The Emory University Eagles have repeated as the Division III Champions. 

With the championship coming to a close, Yvette and Huntingdon Women's Golf's 2025-2026 season as ended. This year, the Hawks saw three first team all-USA South performers(Gorden, Mary Charles Davis, and Briana Willis) and a runner-up finish at the 2026 USA South Conference Championship, with Gorden's nationals appearance capping off yet another highly successful season.
