Alabama Power Huntingdon Student Athlete Of The Week: Payton Hill
MONTGOMERY, Ala.- After leading Huntingdon Women's Lacrosse to an emphatic 20-6 win at home last week against Warren Wilson, Payton Hill has been recognized as the Alabama Power Huntingdon Student Athlete of the Week.
Starting at attack from Niceville, Florida, the sophomore lit it up on the offensive end in the Hawks win, scoring 8 goals on 14 shots with two assists to account for half of Huntingdon's offensive production with 10 total points. She also contributed 5 ground balls and two caused turnovers, wrecking havoc all over the field in the win. Her 8 goals are the most a Hawk has scored in a single game since Kate Hudson's record-breaking 13 in a loss to the Owls a year ago. Her performance currently ranks 2nd in the USA South in points and first in goals in a single contest for the season.
Hill and the Hawks return to action at Charles Lee Field Friday, February 27th at 5:00 PM CT against Spalding University.
