Hawks Downed By N.C. Wesleyan

MONTGOMERY,Ala.- In their second game in as many days, Huntingdon women's soccer(2-2 overall) was taken down by the Battling Bishops of North Carolina Wesleyan University(1-4 overall) 3-0.

The Battling Bishops got the first points on the board at the 8:38 mark to claim an early 1-0 lead. Throughout the rest of the half, Huntingdon goalkeepers Libby Williams and Caroline Masker were able to keep N.C. Wesleyan off of the board, but the Hawks couldn't their way around the Bishops goalkeeper, entering halftime with a 1-0 deficit.

As the second half wore on, the Hawks managed to make multiple attempts at the goal, but found no luck. As a result, the Battling Bishops were able to turn defense into offense, scoring two more goals to take the game 3-0.

  • The Hawks attempted 14 shots, 6 of them being on goal, but were not able to get one through the net
  • N.C. Wesleyan converted on three of their seven shots on goal
