Huntingdon earns sweep to open season

ALBANY, Ga.  – The Huntingdon women's tennis team won two matches to open the season on Saturday.

The Hawks beat Fort Valley State 6-1 and defeated Albany State 5-2.

Against Fort Valley State, the teams of Kennedy Harp and Morgan Mumper (No. 1), Madeline Creel and Allison Stegall (No. 2) and Alex Burnham and Alonda Weaver (No. 3) won in doubles. Creel (No. 1), Stegall (No. 3), Mumper (No. 4), Weaver (No. 5) and Emma Moore (No. 6) won in singles.

Against Albany State, the teams of Lucy Burch-Creel (No. 2) and Burnham-Stegall (No. 3) won in doubles. Creel (No. 2), Burnham (No. 3), Burch (No. 4), Stegall (No. 5) and Weaver (No. 6) won in singles.
