Tedesco Brings Home CCS Women's Tennis Player Of The Week
ATLANTA, Ga.- The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) has announced its women's tennis weekly honors, released by the league office on Tuesday.
For the first time this season, Natalie Tedesco has been recognized as the conference's player of the week following Huntingdon's back-to-back CCS victories.
Tedesco was outstanding for Huntingdon this week, posting a perfect 4-0 record in both singles and doubles play to help the Hawks secure back-to-back team victories. Playing at No. 3 singles, Tedesco rolled to a 6-2, 6-1 win over Giuntoli of Covenant and followed with a dominant 6-1, 6-0 result against Agnes Scott's Cox. In doubles action, Tedesco partnered with Ella Hathcock at the No. 2 position to deliver two key victories. The duo edged Covenant's Cummings and English, 7-5, and then defeated Cox and Ziller of Agnes Scott, 6-3. Tedesco's flawless performances helped Huntingdon earn a 5-2 win over Covenant and a 7-0 sweep of Agnes Scott.
The Hawks return to the George S. Gibbs Tennis Center this afternoon against LaGrange. Matches are set to begin at 3:30 PM CT.
