Women's Tennis Falls At Home To Millsaps

MONTGOMERY, Ala.- Returning to action at the George S. Gibbs Tennis Center for the second time in as many days, a short-handed Huntingdon Women's Tennis team fought hard, but was ultimately defeated 6-1 by the Majors of Millsaps College. See below for the comprehensive results from today's match.

1. Alexis Oliver defeated Katie-John Crow 6-2 and 7-5
2. Riley McClain defeated Ansley Lanier 6-0 in each set
3. Malakie Smith defeated Athens DeVer 6-1 in each set
4. Skylar Spinks defeated Anna Beth Adams 6-4 in each set
5. Angelina Mazza defeated Bella-Bennett Graham 6-3 and 6-1
6. Katie Madden defeated Virginia Trible 6-2 in the first set before falling 6-2 in the second and 10-4 in the tiebreaker

Doubles

1. Alexis Oliver and Riley McClain defeated Katie-John Crow and Lilly Brown 6-1
2. Skylar Spinks and Malakie Smith defeated Athens DeVer and Ansley Lanier 6-4
3. Virginia Trible and Bella-Bennett Graham defeated Anna Beth Adams and Kayla Pearson 7-6 with a tiebreaker score of 7-5

The Hawks will look to bounce back on February 27th at home against LaGrange. Matches are set to begin at 12:00 PM CT.
