Alabama Power Student Athlete Of The Week: Aly Harris

MONTGOMERY, Ala.-  Following a strong week of solid performances as a starting middle-hitter for the Hawks Volleyball team, Aly Harris has been recognized as the inaugural Alabama Power Student Athlete of the Week at Huntingdon College. 

A senior from Jacksonville, Alabama, who came to Huntingdon in 2023-2024 academic year after transferring from Southern Union State Community College, Harris has had a steady presence in the Hawks front-line since enrolling at the college.

This week, Aly led the Hawks to a 4-1 record, with wins over Bob Jones, Centenary, the University of Dallas, and Oglethorpe. She recorded 44 kills, 16 digs, 3 service aces, 3 solo blocks, 1 assisted block, and 50.5 total points. 

Aly and the Hawks return to action on September 24th as they kick off CCS play at LaGrange. Gametime is set for 6:00 PM CT.
