Hawks Fall At Home To Southern Virginia

MONTGOMERY, Ala.- Returning to Samford Stadium following their win at William Peace a week ago, Huntingdon Men's Lacrosse struck early but couldn't keep their momentum, falling 17-6 to the Knights of Southern Virginia University.

Huntingdon started the game strong, with early goals from Connor Angst and Tristan Dial giving the Hawks a brief lead 2-0 in the first quarter. Despite the fast start, the Hawks faced a 5-3 deficit at the end of the first quarter and a 12-4 difference at halftime, and couldn't recover as they fell to 4-6 on the year and 1-2 in USA South action. Jaxon McMonigle led the team with three goals, while Hunter Rives and Kelcey Marston also found the back of the net as part of the scoring effort.

Huntingdon will look to bounce back on March 28th at Greensboro. Gametime is set for 1:00 PM CT.
