MONTGOMERY,Ala.- In a non-conference battle at home, Huntingdon men's soccer(1-3 overall) fell to the Millsaps College Majors of the SAA(2-3 overall) 2-0.
How it happened
The opening half of this physical contest was dominated by each team's keeper, with Braden Ross anchoring Huntingdon's defense by saving six of Millsaps nine shot attempts in the half, with the other three not being on target. On the other end, the Majors' keeper saved all three of the Hawks' shot attempts. As a result, the two teams entered halftime even at 0.
Millsaps broke the ice and secured their victory with back-to-back goals midway through the second half. The Hawks offense tried to recover, firing off six shots of their own, but weren't able to find the back of the net, allowing Millsaps to walk away with a 2-0 win.
The Hawks look to bounce back on September 18th as they travel to face Tougaloo. Gametime is scheduled for 6:00 PM.
