Hawks Get Back In The Win Column With Victory Over Toccoa Falls

MONTGOMERY,Ala.- Coming off a loss to Pensacola Christian of the NCCAA, Huntingdon men's soccer(3-4 overall) got back into the win column on Tuesday night, taking down the Screaming Eagles of Toccoa Falls College(3-5 overall) 4-0, putting on an offensive display through all 90 minutes.

How it happened

After 6 minutes without a goal, Huntingdon broke the ice to score the opening goal of the match, with reigning CCS rookie of the week Jaden Jenkins finding Tate Reynolds streaking down the field, giving Reynolds enough space to make a move and send one past the Screaming Eagles' keeper, bringing the score to 1-0 at the 7:41 mark. Reynolds followed his first goal with another at the 18:14 mark, this time off a pass from Brandon Cruz, to extend Huntingdon's lead to 2-0 midway through the first half.

Maintaining their momentum, Dashun McDonald found space from range, drilling a shot into the upper corner of the goal to put the Hawks ahead 3-0 entering halftime. Throughout the half, Huntingdon's defense held their own on the other half of the field, only allowing two shot attempts from Toccoa Falls, with Lundon Danford putting a stop to their only attempt on goal.

As the second half wore on, the Hawks continued on with their defensive pressure, only allowing two more shot attempts and drawing 10 fouls. To ice the game, Jaden Jenkins put in a goal off a pass from Matt Olson at the 48:53 mark, cementing Huntingdon's 4-0 victory.
