Hawks Can't Get It Going At Oglethorpe

ATLANTA, Ga.- Looking to find their way back into the win column following their draw with MUW at home, Huntingdon Women's Soccer returned to action this afternoon,  traveling to face the Stormy Petrels of Oglethorpe University.

Oglethorpe, currently 5-0 on the season with 3 of those wins coming via CCS opponents, controlled the pace of the game from beginning to end, defeating the Hawks 6-0 in the non-conference match.

Huntingdon fell behind early, surrendering two first half goals in the first 25 minutes. Zoe Gerlach and Shaylinn McFarland each fired off shots of their own to try and close the gap, but couldn't get past the Stormy Petrels keeper, taking the 2-0 deficit into the second half.

As the second half got underway, Oglethorpe caught fire, cashing in on 4 shots, limiting the Hawks to just two attempts of their own, to walk away with the victory, 6-0.

Libby Williams played all 90 minutes in the goal for Huntingdon, picking up 6 saves while allowing an equal number of goals.

Huntingdon looks to right the ship on Tuesday, September 16th, as they host the Berry College Vikings. Gametime is set for 5:00 PM CT.
