JACKSON, Miss. – The Huntingdon volleyball team closed out the Belhaven Classic with a pair of losses on Saturday.
The Hawks fell to William Baptist 21-25, 25-11, 23-25, 22-25 and lost to Lyon College 25-22, 23-25, 18-25, 17-25.
Kalen Morgan led Huntingdon (3-5) with 20 kills in the two matches. Bria Rochelle followed with 19 kills and Audrianna Hargitt had 18 kills. Kaitlyn Carter recorded 66 assists in the two matches.
Against William Baptist, Morgan had 13 kills, Rochelle and Hargitt each added 12 kills and Alexis Creasman followed with 11 kills. Rochelle also had 13 digs. Carter recorded 48 assists and Bobie Wilson had 21 digs.
In the loss to Lyon, Morgan and Rochelle each recorded seven kills and Hargitt added six kills. Rochelle also had 14 digs and Hargitt had four block assists. Carter finished with 18 assists and 11 digs.
Huntingdon returns to action on Wednesday at Birmingham-Southern at 6 p.m.
