Hawks Open Up Millsaps Tournament With Loss To The Majors

To open the game, Millsaps escaped the first set with a 25-19 victory. Building off their first set momentum, Millsaps began the second set by taking an early 8-4 lead. Led by Morgan Suggs and Izzy Valldeperas, the Hawks stormed back to even the score at 20 late in the set, even taking a 24-23 lead over the Majors following a kill from Lindsey Holland, but Millsaps was able to capitalize on two critical Huntingdon errors to take the second set 27-25.

To close the match in three sets, the Majors took the third set from Huntingdon 25-21. Similar to the second set, the Hawks fell behind early 7-3. Jessi Hilyer and Morgan Suggs led Huntingdon's comeback effort to tie the game at 19, but late errors once again plauged the Hawks, resulting in the set and match loss.
