Hawks to Host First Ever CCS Quarterfinal Game

The Hawks are set to host Piedmont University on Tuesday November 1st at 7:00 pm in the first ever Collegiate Conference of the South Volleyball Tournament.

After the Hawks have held a winning percentage of 75.6, and 26-8 overall record, they have claimed their spot as the third seed for the Collegiate Conference of the South Conference Tournament. Huntingdon tied with Maryville for second with a 13-3 conference record, the seeding came down to strength of schedule, where Huntingdon fell behind by only .05

The Hawks, led by Coach Latonia Brady, have had a phenomenal season, and currently hold rankings in the NCAA Division III and the CCS in the following statistical categories for team and individual stats as of October 26th:

Huntingdon is led by the following players in statistics:

#11 senior, Kamea Nash averages 3.2 points per set and has accumulated over 350 points this season. She also averages 2.3 kills a set and has a total of 287 (second highest on the team)

#12 sophomore, Ashlen Janowski has averaged 2.5 points a set with 234 points and totaled 213 kills this season

#17 junior, Reece Rhodes has tallied a total of 287 points with 248 kills and leads the team with 412 digs

#24 senior, Morgan Ilsley with 10 triple doubles on the season, averaging 3 points per set (leading the team with a total of 360 points). She has also brought to the team 303 kills and 592 assists.

The Hawks great numbers look to continue their season and push on to the next round after taking on Piedmont this Tuesday. Previously, Huntingdon saw the Lions on October 8th, as they defeated them 3-1 in Demorest, GA; and again, on October 29th in Berea, Kentucky when they defeated them 3-0. The Hawks have yet to play the Lions in Roland Arena and look forward to hosting the first round of the CCS Tournament.
