|College:||M.S., Education, Auburn University-Montgomery; B.A., Human Performance and Kinesiology, Huntingdon College, 2000|
Amy Patterson returned to her alma mater as Huntingdon's head volleyball coach following the 2011 season.
A 2000 Huntingdon graduate, Patterson was a three-year player for the Hawks and graduated with a B.A. in Human Performance and Kinesiology.
From 2001-2011, Patterson was one of central Alabama's most successful high school volleyball coaches. The Huntsville native plans to bring similar success to her first collegiate head coaching position.
Patterson spent 11 seasons at St. James School in Montgomery, where she led the Trojans to the state tournament 10 times, won two state titles and finished as state runner-up once. Before Patterson's arrival, St. James had reached the state tournament seven times in school history.
Patterson posted a record of 361-177 and was named an All-Metro Coach of the Year three times. She is the current president of the Alabama Volleyball Coaches Association.
Before St. James, Patterson served as a manager and student-assistant coach for the Huntingdon men's and women's basketball teams.
